History
He was born in RiverClan to Ghostrunner and Stoneheart, but has merely a faint idea of his ancestry beyond that. Ghostrunner refused to delve into his family history, wishing to hide how they are from a line of darkness and evil. His father hoped that keeping him unaware would prevent the cycle from continuing.
During his apprenticeship, he was already filled with cravings for adventure. He sneaked out to the Seastones with his brother Dustpaw, and accidentally lost his footing and fell -- he was internally injured and has since struggled with endurance because he runs out of breath easily.
During his moons as a young warrior, he went on many adventures with his best friend Omengaze. They traveled great distances and have seen almost everything, escaping countless dangers during their excursions.
During that time, RiverClan was facing a threat from the Dusk Syndicate. Cedarsprint departed from the Clan to learn about the faction and was recruited by Neomora, taking on the name Cider. He trained under Red and was taught all there was to know, then relayed this information to Fallowstar. Red caught him and--as a result of a growing affection for him as well as fear for his life--allowed him to go under the deal he'd never return or tell anyone about this.
Cedarsprint returned to RiverClan and while he hasn't experienced anything as wild lately, he remains interested in discovery and expedition. For a while, he has been perplexed by the relationship between the Dark Forest and the natural world since the link seems to be getting tighter between them. He is in contact with the Evil Era's main leader, Eternalstar, and has been training with him to learn more about the Dark Forest's ways. He wants to learn how it has been able to grow stronger/more present among the Clans.
In one of his meetings with Eternalstar, Cedarsprint expressed his wish to continue learning and adventuring with a mentally and physically fit body. Eternalstar cursed him with the power of immortality, which has frozen his age, but now expects a favor in return to use when he desires.
Personality
If his resume of experiences isn't enough of a testament, this is a cat that wants to learn and discover everything there is to offer by the world. He's fascinated by adventure and novelty, always ready to leave his life in RiverClan behind (temporarily) in order to study and live the unknown, riding on the coattails of danger constantly. He rides the edge but is sharp enough to escape unscathed, and he dreads the day his body will no longer be able to carry his ambitions.
While he may be a docile and respectful cat (a real sweetheart, ultimately), there is an equal amount of troublesome curiosity resting within him. Cedarsprint doesn't hesitate to stick his nose into everything he deems worthy of further analysis, as he yearns for the thrill of his boundaries being pushed to their limits.
His main goal is to serve his clanmates, but he doesn't do so by going on patrols or hunting -- not that he has any issue with doing those tasks, but he finds them mundane and boring. After what he's been through, Cedarsprint feels his abilities are better used to gain knowledge for the Clan and its surroundings than in warrior duties. Despite feeling that he is perhaps unsuited for regular warrior duties, Cedarsprint is eager to prove himself to RiverClan as an asset to them.
He may not seem like the type, but he's actually difficult to get to open up. Conversations are often superficial in nature because he's knowledgeable, experienced, and has seen the worst of cats. Therefore, he harbors a lot of demons that he doesn't know how to talk about even if he wanted to. It takes a decent level of trust to engage in a dialogue with him, one without barriers of his mind.
